OAK & PLY STAIRCASE

This Oak and Birch plywood staircase was a fantastic commission for us, using all aspects of the services we provide at Apply Works. From design detailing to laminating, joinery to CNC machining, this covered it.

A project for David Restorick Interiors, a skilled designer and maker. He provided the original design and space parameters to work from. From this we drew up and detailed the staircase ready for machining and fabrication.

We built the staircase in our workshop, made up in multiple units that David would install on site with tolerances to allow for scribing directly into the space.

Storage space is incorporated into the design underneath the first flight and a bold 100mm thick balustrade runs up boths flights of the dog-leg staircase and along the mezzanine landing on the first floor.
